Description
Pollination is the act of transferring pollen grains from male anther of a flower to a female stigma. The goal of every living organism, including plants, is to create offspring for the next generation. One of the ways plants do this is by making seeds that contain genetic information to produce new plants. This is a photograph of a Pennsylvania leatherwing beetle (goldenrod soldier beetle) pollinating a beautiful, large, yellow sunflower (Helinathus Annuus). It has great colors and clarity. I hope you like you as much as I do.
