I love taking detailed photos, the ones that are up close and personal. I also think every living thing is beautiful in it's own way. What better way to prove that then to take a macro photo with my Nikon 3200 of simple, lonely, green and purple weed. This weed is henbit deadnettle or lamium amplexicaule. This annual plant grows to 10-25 cm tall, with soft, finely hairy stems. You often see them in people's lawn. I love the simplicity/ minimalism of it. I wanted the weed to stand out so I took the photo against a blue sky on a sunny day. This photo says "Summer time" to me. The quote (written in purple) says "Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them." By Winnie the Pooh I hope you love the details of this simple image as much as I do. Thank-you for looking!
